Job description
The University of Bristol invites experienced EMDR therapists to contribute to groundbreaking research as part of the esteemed EYE-D trial, a significant multi-centre RCT funded by the NIHR Efficacy and Mechanisms Evaluation scheme. This pivotal study explores the effectiveness of EMDR in alleviating depression alongside usual GP care, and delves into key memory-processing mechanisms that may influence treatment outcomes. With two or three flexible part-time openings, therapists will be equipped with specialised EMDR for depression protocol training and benefit from regular expert supervision. Sessions, comprising 12 to 18, are conducted in-person within the comfortable parameters of local GP surgeries, NHS venues, or the University itself, with travel expenses duly reimbursed.
