Make paid work possible for people living with severe mental ill‑health by becoming an Employment Specialist in Berkshire Healthcare’s IPS Employment Service. This full‑time (37.5 hrs) permanent post, based with the Newbury CMHT and covering West Berkshire, involves a community‑facing caseload of up to 20 people: you’ll meet clients and local employers, open doors, challenge stigma in the workplace and work closely with clinicians, Jobcentre Plus and other stakeholders. Full IPS training is provided so you can deliver recovery‑focused, person‑centred support that helps people gain, sustain and keep meaningful paid work.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a degree or equivalent experience, proven experience supporting people with mental health problems or disadvantaged groups into employment, strong motivational and organisational skills, and access to a vehicle for local travel. Band 5 pay £31,049–£37,796 (incl. HCAS) with NHS benefits including flexible working, a generous pension, 27 days’ leave rising with service, career development and wellbeing support; a Disclosure and Barring Service check is required and interviews are by telephone then face‑to‑face.
