Bring your horticultural skills to Milton Keynes University Hospital as an Estates Gardener on a fixed‑term contract until 30 January 2026. You’ll keep the hospital grounds neat and welcoming — planting, pruning, mowing, seasonal displays, litter picking, snow clearance and gritting — while safely operating hand and mechanical horticultural equipment and handling chemical spraying where required. This Band 3 post pays £24,937–£26,598 pro rata plus a 10% recruitment and retention payment, is 37.5 hours per week (flexible working considered), and is based at MK6 5LD. You’ll need a full driving licence, at least three years’ horticultural experience, good communication and multitasking skills, physical fitness for outdoor work in all weathers, and the willingness to undergo a DBS check; City & Guilds qualifications and machinery experience are desirable.
