Job description
An opportunity at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust based at Hopewood, Nottingham (NG5) for a Facilities Assistant, Band 2 (£24,465 pa pro rata). This part‑time permanent post is 25 hours a week, worked across seven days with one in three weekends and occasional shift flexibility required. You’ll keep the environment clean and safe, assist with food service and may be asked to cover other areas within Estates and Facilities. The role requires someone who can work independently and as part of a team, follow hygiene and health & safety procedures, complete mandatory training and wear the required uniform/PPE. Please note a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required and the cost (£26.40 standard or £54.40 enhanced) will be deducted from salary over the first two months; enrolment on the DBS Update Service is encouraged (annual fee applies).
This role is especially well suited to carers and women looking for reliable, hands‑on work with hours that can fit around family or caring responsibilities. The Trust offers in‑house training to support your development, enhanced weekend and bank holiday pay, an excellent pension and a range of staff networks (including Menopause Champions) and wellbeing services to support colleagues. If you’re looking for a practical, people‑focused role within a large, inclusive healthcare employer — and are aware that this post does not meet the pay level for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship — click the “Apply Now” button alongside this advert to apply. You can also find full details on jobsincare.com.
