Take a practical, hands-on role as a Facilities Assistant (Porter) with Pennine Care NHS FT based at Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale (OL12 9QB). This full-time, permanent post is 37.5 hours per week on a 5-over-7 rota (Mon–Sun, working between 07:00 and 18:00) at AfC Band 2, salary £24,465pa. Day-to-day duties include delivery and collection of meal and pot trolleys, clean and soiled linen, mail, stores and pharmacy/pathology items; transfer of patient notes; removal of general, clinical, confidential and food waste; stocking and putting stores away; litter picking and cleaning of external bin stores; plus driving and operating the Trust fleet vehicle (Luton van or similar) in line with Trust policy. The role supports in-patient wards, community sites and administrative areas and suits someone who likes varied, practical work that keeps the hospital running smoothly.
