Facilities Officer for Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust based at St Martins Hospital, Canterbury (CT1 1AZ). This internal-only vacancy is Band 5 (£31,049–£37,796 pa), permanent and full-time. You will line-manage housekeeping teams across nine local sites, including outpatient admin buildings and three 10-bed rehabilitation homes, working varied weekday shifts (typically 07:00–10:00 and 14:30–19:30). The role focuses on delivering National Cleaning Standards 2025, infection control, waste regulations, health & safety, fire safety and sustainability, plus monthly site visits, cleaning audits and MICAD compliance reporting. You will be the day-to-day contact for matrons, service managers and external contractors, manage staff performance and wellbeing, help manage budgets and contribute to estates and capital planning.
This post suits someone with supervisory experience, NEBOSH/NVQ or equivalent health & safety training, confidence with Teams and Microsoft packages, manual handling risk assessment training and experience of audits and risk management.
