Job description
Support parents and their children at a six‑bed residential Family Assessment Centre in Littlehampton, West Sussex, as a Family Assessment Support Worker for National Fostering Group. This is a permanent, full‑time, on‑site role (1 on / 2 off rota; 15‑hour shifts 07:30–22:30) paying up to £26,208 per year. You will deliver therapeutically‑led parenting capacity assessments and provide 1:1 key‑worker support, offering practical advice on baby care, structure and routine, and using goal‑based planning and systemic thinking to help families thrive. The job involves working closely with a multi‑disciplinary team, facilitating group learning and social activities, keeping a vigilant focus on health and safety, taking part in supervisions and team meetings, and maintaining confidential, culturally sensitive practice; successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check.
