Female Personal Support Worker required in Blyth to support a friendly 55‑year‑old lady on a part‑time, permanent basis. This role is 10 hours per week, worked as 2 x 5‑hour shifts, paying £13.74 per hour (FTE approx. £26.8k). You will provide companionship and practical support to enable independence, spending most of your time out in the community — shopping, lunches, bus trips, cinema visits — and joining in quieter activities at home like knitting and watching TV. Busy or noisy environments can be challenging for the lady, so you will plan days sensitively; expenses and an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by the employer) are provided, and holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year (pro‑rata). Closing date: 6 December 2025. UKCIL is the recruiting organisation based in Blyth and the role is on‑site only.

This opportunity particularly suits female carers who enjoy one‑to‑one, person‑centred support and who can be proactive about finding local activities. Experience supporting people with autism, ADHD or learning disabilities is an advantage but not essential — the key qualities are reliability, a caring and positive outlook, confidentiality, flexibility and initiative. A car and UK driving licence are preferred though public transport can be used with a carer’s pass; training in safeguarding and personal assistant skills will be provided.
