Use your warmth, confidence and practical skills as a Female Support Worker with Dimensions in Bury St Edmunds, supporting a young woman in her 20s who lives independently. This full-time, on-site role is 37.5 hours per week with shifts such as 8am–8pm, 10am–5pm and alternate weekends, paying £13.55 per hour. Day-to-day you will prompt and assist with personal care, prepare meals safely, support medication administration (including emergency epilepsy medication), and accompany her to activities like swimming, bowling and the beach — so the ability to swim confidently is important. You will also use visual aids to communicate and receive specialist training in Positive Behaviour Support and epilepsy care to manage behaviours of distress and keep the person you support safe and comfortable. A confident driver is preferred to use the organisation’s vehicle for appointments and hobbies.

This opportunity is ideal for women who love being active, building meaningful relationships and helping someone enjoy everyday life. Dimensions is a people-first, not-for-profit organisation offering award-winning training, clear career progression, permanent shifts and a generous benefits package — all the support you need to grow in social care. An enhanced DBS will be required (covered by Dimensions) and this post is a genuine occupational requirement for a female worker under the Equality Act 2010. Dimensions is a Disability Confident Leader and offers interview guarantees and reasonable adjustments for applicants who meet the criteria.
