Are you an experienced and dedicated General Practitioner seeking a meaningful role in urgent care? At Winchester Urgent Care Clinic, we are looking for a skilled GP to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work independently in an Out of Hours setting while delivering expert face-to-face consultations and making a real difference in the lives of our patients. The Service operates

Available Hours:

Fri: 13:30 - 23:00

Sat & Sun: 08:00 - 13:00 or 13:00 - 18:00

As a General Practitioner, you will:

  • Deliver the highest clinical standards to all patients accessing the service.
  • Assess, investigate, diagnose, and treat patients with needs suitable for primary care.
  • Identify and manage acute presentations, referring to the Emergency Department when appropriate.
  • Provide emergency stabilisation for patients awaiting transfer.
  • Support and advise colleagues within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Manage patient flow effectively, balancing clinical need with service capacity.

Youll provide expert face to face consultations, ensuring safe, informed clinical decisions with compassion and respect.

Maintain the highest clinical standards for all patients accessing the service.

Elucidate the primary reason for the patients attendance at the Urgent Treatment Centre.

Assess, investigate, diagnose and treat patients presenting with clinical needs which can be met by primary care.

Refer to emergency department where appropriate.

Provide emergency care while waiting for emergency transfer of patient when appropriate.

Provide advice and support to colleagues and the multi disciplinary team.

Manage the flow of patients by balancing the clinical need of the patient with the capacity of the provider to deliver the necessary response.
