Job description
As a Generic Therapy Assistant with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at York Hospital (YO31), you’ll work part‑time, permanently at Agenda for Change Band 3 (£24,937–£26,598 pro rata). Working under the direction of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, you’ll deliver hands‑on rehabilitation programmes that support patients’ mobility, cognition and day‑to‑day function. Day‑to‑day duties include supervising therapeutic activities and exercises, helping patients use equipment safely, carrying out basic equipment checks and completing administrative tasks to support timely discharge planning. The service operates Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:00 and successful applicants must be able to work flexibly within this pattern.
