Job description
An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for the role of Head of Quality Intelligence at North East North Cumbria Integrated Care Board.
You will support the ICB in their statutory functions of ensuring continuous improvements in commissioned services, by developing and maintaining oversight and analysis of key quality and safety themes and trends across the region.
Be responsible for leading and producing complex analysis of themes and trends, across a range of different services within the region, to identify key risks and concerns, any mitigations and identify further areas where assurance is needed.

Provide specialist advice and prepare strategic reports and briefings for directors and stakeholders, which includes in depth analysis, interpretation and production of highly complex and multiple reports.
Collate as required, qualitative and quantitative information and lead appropriate interpretation and analysis and presentation of data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making.
Working with the Director of Quality/ Directors of Nursing develop a robust evolving quality framework incorporating the 4 key elements of quality to deliver improvements in outcomes for the people of NENC.
Support and contribute to the development of the safety management system across the region particularly in relation to: -
o Safety risk management- the identification of concerns, issues and risks, and the assessment and mitigation of risks across the system.
o Safety assurance- monitoring, measuring and oversight of safety performance, continuous improvement.

To support the delivery of the ICB's patient safety centre, quality priorities, and Quality Strategy, work with colleagues in the Quality and Safety team and across the ICB, to scope, refine and shape plans and activities in relation to quality and safety intelligence and insight.
Key skills for the role are the ability to analyse, interpret and identify themes and trends that effect quality and safety.
