d team, we are looking for a motivated and skilled HCA who loves the challenge of working in general practice.The role of the HCA is varied and fulfilling running phlebotomy, minor illness clinic, NHS health checks and more.Working under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols, the HCA will assist the Practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.

ResponsibilitiesSimple and complex wound careHealth checksInsurance medicals & other related documentationECG recordingPhlebotomySupporting GP in Family Planning clinicsChaperoning dutiesBlood Pressure ChecksProcessing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/NursesVaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recordingSurgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotationClearing and re-stocking consulting roomsPreparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor surgery clinicsAssisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-beingHelping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promotedAssisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-beingThe undertaking of administrative tasks where relevant to assist with practice audits and patient monitoring.The following are desirable not essential and training may be given if deemed necessaryFlu Clinic immunisationsB12 immunisation

We are GP teaching practice with a dedicated team committed to treat minor ailments, as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues for Brackley and the surrounding area. We have 5 partners, 5 salaried GPs in addition to 13 staff in the Nursing Team and Urgent Care Unit for a 16000 patient population.In addition we have a wide range of specialist roles such as First Contact Physios, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and Mental Health Support worker, providing a diverse service to our patients.We are a SystmOne practice
