We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Ellison View Surgery. Main duties of the job
Consult with patients and their families to assess needs and support care planning.Assist clinical staff in delivering treatments, preventative care, long-term condition management, and patient education.Provide clinical support to nurses and other healthcare professionals, including basic clinical interventions and minor procedures under supervision.Act as a chaperone and support specimen handling, minor operations, and clinical waste management in line with IPC policies.Work within national and local protocols, recognising professional boundaries and knowing when to refer patients.Support enhanced services and practice administration as required.Participate in mandatory training, induction, appraisals, and ongoing clinical governance activities.Maintain a safe, tidy, and effective working environment at all times.
