Mill Street Medical Centre in St Helens (WA10) is looking for a compassionate, part-time Health Care Assistant to join a busy, friendly GP practice serving around 12,000 patients. Working under the direct supervision of GP partners and alongside nurses and pharmacists, you will support delivery of patient care and clinic services — processing laboratory samples, preparing and restocking consulting rooms, recording ECGs, spirometry and blood pressure, carrying out urine and blood sugar checks, assisting with minor procedures, supporting flu and chronic disease clinics, and undertaking new patient checks and home visit assistance. The role requires strict adherence to confidentiality, infection-control and practice protocols, accurate record-keeping and good communication. When fully trained you may also undertake phlebotomy and vaccinations; NHS pension membership is available.

This permanent, job-share friendly post pays £13.50 per hour and is ideal for carers seeking flexible hours that balance clinical skill with personal commitments.
