As a Health Care Assistant in the Hospital at Home team with Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (Royal Oldham Hospital, OL1), you’ll combine community and acute care to deliver hands‑on, patient‑centred support in people’s own homes. The role includes clinical visits, venepuncture, capillary blood gases, ECGs, setting up and assisting with remote monitoring, collecting samples and equipment deliveries, monitoring patients’ progress against pathways and escalating concerns to the clinical team. You’ll work closely with the MDT to provide compassionate care, support mental and physical wellbeing, and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, families and carers.
This part‑time, fixed‑term (6 months) Band 3 post offers practical upskilling and clear routes for CPD within a large NHS trust committed to staff wellbeing, flexible working and career development. The post requires NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), experience as a care support worker and a DBS check; a driving licence and use of own car is desirable for home visits.
