Job description
Work as a Health Care Assistant at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust based at the Wharfedale Recovery Hub, Wharfedale Hospital, Otley (LS21). This permanent Band 3 role supports short-stay patients (up to six weeks) after hospital discharge, helping them regain independence and return safely to their own home or a care setting. You’ll work across 24/7 shift patterns as part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team – including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, dietitians, registered nurses and GPs – providing practical hands-on care: assisting with washing, eating and toileting, supporting mobility and moving patients safely, taking observations such as blood pressure and temperature, and contributing to care planning and MDT meetings.
