Provide hands‑on, person‑centred care for people with organic mental health needs, primarily dementia, on Snowdrop Ward at Walton Hospital, Chesterfield (S40 3HW). As a Health Care Assistant – OPMH (Band 3) you will deliver and monitor personalised care plans, support patients with challenging behaviours and physical needs, and report changes to Registered Nurses while working as part of a close‑knit nursing team. The role is permanent, full‑time, subject to a DBS check and requires relevant qualifications (GCSEs, Care Certificate and dementia best‑practice training) plus at least six months’ experience in dementia or mental health care. Salary is £24,937–£26,598 pro rata under Agenda for Change. Note: this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker sponsorship, so UK right to work is required.
