Support patients in Ophthalmology Theatres as a Health Care Support Worker/Theatre Assistant at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport (NP20). Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will help deliver compassionate, hands‑on care: assisting with personal hygiene, nutrition and feeding, escorting patients to appointments, observing and reporting changes in condition, and supporting the smooth running of theatre lists. The role includes completion of a locally approved orientation programme, close teamwork with nursing staff, strict confidentiality and customer‑care standards, and is suitable for Welsh and/or English speakers (Welsh desirable). This post is permanent, full‑time, Band 2 (£24,833 pa) and subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check; applications requiring skilled worker sponsorship will be considered.
