Work as a Health Support Worker on the CYPMHS inpatient unit in Leeds (LS12 3BY), full-time permanent, salary £24,937–£26,598 per year. You will provide hands‑on, compassionate care and therapeutic support for young people — working 1:1 and in groups, communicating closely with the multi‑disciplinary team, families and carers, and responding to complex mental health, learning disability and neurodiverse needs. Experience in mental health or working with young people in an inpatient setting is beneficial but not essential; what matters most are your values, excellent communication, the ability to manage your time and to think on your feet. You’ll receive a full induction and training, and the service supports NVQ L2/L3 in Health & Social Care (or a commitment to achieve within six months) or equivalent lived experience. Closing date: 19 November 2025.

This role will suit compassionate, practical people — particularly women job seekers and carers — who want purposeful work that makes a real difference. The newly designed unit prioritises staff development and progression, offering mentoring and clear pathways so you can grow while feeling supported and valued. The service follows a values‑based recruitment approach and offers reasonable adjustments and accessible information through the application process.
