We'll provide all the training needed so when you step out onto the ward/area you are going to work on, you can be confident in your abilities and ability to contribute straight away in the workplace.Its important we recruit people with the right personal skills & attributes, so our interviews and assessments will be really practically focused, less about interview questions and more about giving you the chance to show us your potential, what you could bring to the role and your willingness to learn.We promise that you will make a difference to our patients every single day and we know that's what will really motivate you. As this is an apprenticeship, we can only accept applicants who have had residence within the UK for 3 years or more. Due to funding rules, we can only offer positions for this apprenticeship to candidates who are brand new to care, so must not have any prior experience or qualifications within healthcare.
Being a Healthcare Assistant is a wonderful & really valued role. You'll play a key role in the care of our patients, helping with the day-to-day needs of patients through helping with personal care, meals and mobility, as well as performing checks such as taking temperatures, pulse and respiration rate.Sometimes the role will be tough, you may see and be involved in some difficult things involving our patients, be busy and deliver some very direct personal care. We don't want to shy away from that and we do know that this part of the role isn't for everyone, however, for the right people, providing all kinds of support to our patients to meet their needs will be what makes you thrive. We do help train you all to deal with all aspects of the role and also offer pastoral support to everyone.

We can't promise you will meet them all, but you will work with dozens of different people all performing different roles so you have the chance to learn so much.
