Job description
Tupwood Gate Nursing Home in Caterham (CR3) is looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to deliver hands‑on, person‑centred care for adults who are physically frail or living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. The role is permanent, full‑time (44 hours per week) with a mix of days, nights and alternate weekends, paid at £13.85 per hour rising to £13.97 after probation. Tupwood Gate is rated Good by the CQC and holds Platinum accreditation in the Gold Standards Framework for end‑of‑life care, so you’ll be working in a calm, professional setting that provides short‑stay and longer‑term care with a focus on dignity and comfort. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is required; please note that sponsorship is not currently available for this vacancy.

The role suits someone with residential or nursing home experience, excellent communication skills, sensitivity and energy, and a real commitment to building trusting relationships. Cygnet supports professional development with apprenticeships, regular coaching and supervision, flexible working and overtime opportunities, plus benefits such as a health cash plan, 24‑hour GP line, life assurance, free eye tests, gym and travel discounts and pension contributions.
