Job summary
The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
Main duties of the job
Marie Curie is excited to be expanding our existing Hospice Care at Home Service in Cwm Taf Morgannwg to help ensure nobody goes without the vital care and support they need at end of life. We are looking for a number of additional Healthcare Assistants to join our amazing team to help support more patients with life limiting conditions, and their families, than ever before. We will be working closely with District Nursing and Primary Care Teams to provide symptom control, end of life care and respite; as well as developing a new urgent response capacity to support the discharge of palliative and end of life care patients from hospitals into the community. Apply today for a rewarding career where you can really make a difference when it matters most!
