Job description
Provide compassionate, one-to-one overnight care with Marie Curie’s Hospice Care at Home service in the East Riding of Yorkshire (HU17), covering Beverley, Bridlington, Hornsea, Goole, Withernsea and nearby areas. This part‑time role (36 hours) involves a roster of 9‑hour night shifts (typically 10pm–7am) supporting people with life‑limiting illness in their own homes. You will work independently but within established care plans, delivering personal care and hygiene support, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medication, keeping accurate records and offering emotional support to both patients and their families. The post requires NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), recent end‑of‑life or palliative care experience, emotional resilience and the ability to use your own initiative; a UK driving licence, access to a car and business insurance are essential. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
