Part-time (21 hours) and a fixed-term full-time maternity-cover post (until 8 August 2026) are available for a Healthcare Assistant based in the General Outpatients Department at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, Shrewsbury (SY3). Working at Agenda for Change Band 2 with a salary of £24,465 per annum pro rata, you will provide clinical and administrative support to the outpatient team: managing patient journeys through clinics and diagnostics, assisting with hygiene, elimination and pressure-area care, supporting nutrition and hydration, taking and recording observations, escorting patients, and safely moving patients using taught manual-handling techniques. The role requires effective workload management under the supervision of registered nurses, basic literacy and numeracy qualifications (GCSEs grades 3–1 or Functional Skills Level 1), a DBS check, and successful candidates will be invited to a face-to-face interview.
