Main duties of the job
As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
- Be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients care - this includes venepuncture and tissue viability
- This role will support the Primary Care Nursing team with all aspects of care
- You will primarily be working within the primary care team, although may be required to carry out duties in the substance misuse or mental health teams
- You will support the registered nurse in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care and be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery

Our New Healthcare Assistant Will
- Hold a NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
- Have experience within phlebotomy - this is highly desirable!
- Have experience in a clinical care setting previously - ideally from a hospital or prison setting
- Have clinical experience - venepuncture, tissue viability etc
- Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach
