Job summary North Petherton Surgery(near Bridgwater in Somerset) who are part of Symphony Healthcare Services and the North Sedgemoor Primary Care Network; are looking to recruit a permanent / part timeHealthcare Assistant (HCA) or Phlebotomistto join their friendly andforward-thinking practice.Working under the direct supervision of the PracticeNurse and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines andprotocols, the Healthcare Assistants / Phlebotomists will assist the practice clinical team inthe provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.We have 16 vacant hoursavailableand specific

Main duties of the job Perform new patient and NHS health checksUndertake prediabetes reviews including giving lifestyle advice, (diet, weight, exercise, smoking cessation, alcohol) making necessary referrals within PHCT/local support servicesUndertake point of care testing for cholesterol, HbA1c, and INRECG recordingBlood Pressure monitoring including issuing HBPM in accordance with practice policyPhlebotomy Please see attached
