ELM Alliance Ltd is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant (General Practice) to join Ravenscar Surgery at Redcar Primary Care Hospital on a permanent part‑time basis (18 hours per week). This role suits experienced HCAs with at least two years’ primary care experience, an enhanced DBS and up‑to‑date clinical training. You will work under the supervision of the Practice Nurse delivering patient appointments and diagnostics — phlebotomy, ECGs, Healthy Heart checks, long‑term condition reviews, pre‑diabetic checks and assistance with Dopplers — plus immunisation clinics (flu, COVID, shingles, travel), 24‑hour blood pressure monitoring, dressings/suture removal, and routine stock and infection‑control responsibilities. The post requires good communication, time‑management and confidentiality, the ability to manage clinical risk, and flexibility to work some extended hours for vaccine delivery; SystmOne experience is desirable. Pay is £13.59 per hour and the practice looks after about 3,800 patients in purpose‑built premises co‑located with urgent care services.
