Job description
Work as a permanent Band 2 Healthcare Assistant on the Acute Cardiac Unit (ACU) at The Royal Liverpool Hospital, part of Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In this hands‑on role you will support registered nurses and the ward team to deliver high standards of basic care to cardiology patients and their families and carers in a 16‑bed unit. The post is available full‑time or part‑time, pays £24,465 per annum (pro rata) and is ideal for practical, compassionate people who communicate well, work effectively in a team and cope with a busy clinical environment. Previous caring experience, NVQ Level 2 and basic computer skills are desirable; a Disclosure and Barring Service check is required and the vacancy may close once sufficient applications are received.
This opportunity will suit dedicated carers — particularly women looking for meaningful, stable NHS work with flexible hours and clear routes for skill development within one of the North West’s largest hospital groups. Please note Band 2 roles do not usually meet the required skill level for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, so check your individual eligibility.
