Band 2: Competitive rates  PERMANENT   SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE
As a Healthcare Porter at Harrogate District Hospital you’ll be a trusted, visible part of the care team, responsible for moving patients and medical equipment, delivering specimens and instruments to wards and clinical areas, collecting waste and responding to onsite emergency requests. A typical shift might see you escort a patient to x‑ray, safely transport delicate theatre equipment between floors, or deliver emergency drugs and supplies to the right ward — the role requires physical stamina, safe handling skills and a warm, patient‑facing approach. This permanent, full‑time Band 2 (Agenda for Change) post pays £24,465 per annum pro rata plus enhancements and forms part of a 24‑hour portering service, including night shifts.

Harrogate Integrated Facilities (HIF), part of Harrogate and District Foundation Trust, provides an organised, supportive environment across maintenance, sterile services, portering and more — the role suits compassionate, adaptable people who enjoy practical, hands‑on work and reliable shift patterns. A good secondary education is essential (GCSEs in English and maths desirable), the post is subject to a DBS check and some applicants requiring visa sponsorship may be considered; please note posts may close early and relocation packages are not offered for Agenda for Change roles.
