Use your hands‑on caring skills in the Main Theatres at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, supporting patients through their peri‑operative journey. This permanent, full‑time Healthcare Support Worker role sits within a 25‑theatre complex covering emergency, obstetric, vascular, paediatric, ENT, plastics and multi‑specialty lists. You’ll help move and transfer patients safely between wards, day admissions, theatres and recovery; prepare and set up theatre rooms; assist clinical practitioners during procedures; position anaesthetised patients using safe manual handling practice; deliver pressure‑area care; and ensure accurate, legible documentation. HCA experience is desirable but not essential — what matters most is being organised, calm under changing workloads, compassionate and aligned with the Trust’s PRIDE values. A Trust induction and ongoing training are provided to support you in the role.

This post offers a clear career path in one of the UK’s largest teaching and research trusts, competitive pay (£24,937–£26,598 per annum), and a strong package of NHS benefits designed to support carers and working parents. Flexible working options, access to the staff bank, on‑site nursery, discounted gym and catering, a generous pension, Wagestream, free Park & Ride and staff counselling are all available to help with work–life balance.
