An exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals to join the Acute Medical Unit Patient Transfer Team at Ninewells Hospital. Working in collaboration with nurse in charge and patient flow co-ordinator, the team will support patient flow throughout the unit to downstream medical wards, ensuring patient movement is safe and efficient. The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out health care duties
The unit is part of Unscheduled Medicine and includes a 30 bedded ward and an Acute Ambulatory Assessment Area; it is an exciting specialty which delivers a team based approach in assessment of urgent medical conditions.
For the ideal candidate this is an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring the delivery of a high standard of person centred care. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and have knowledge of IT systems.
You will be expected as part of your role to assist the nursing team at times with health care duties and must have the ability to work with people and as part of a multi disciplinary team as well as the ability to reprioritise your workload due to unpredictable demand. You should be flexible and interested in people.
