Support the health and dignity of people in custody as a Healthcare Support Worker at HMP Haverigg for Spectrum Community Health CIC. This permanent, full‑time role (salary band £24,937–£26,598 p.a.) places you at the heart of a multi‑disciplinary prison healthcare team, working under the delegated authority of a Registered Nurse to deliver person‑centred, non‑judgemental care across primary care, mental health and substance‑misuse services. You’ll cover the patient journey from reception screening through to discharge or transfer, carrying out observations and agreed clinical duties, running clinics such as phlebotomy, ECG and NHS health checks, supporting sexual‑health and health‑promotion work, and joining the emergency response team when required. You will also support people with low‑level mental ill‑health and substance withdrawal in line with care plans, working to the organisation’s values of Working Together, Integrity, Respect and Recognition, Compassion and Innovation.
