NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is full time (37hrs/week) across 7 days: 12hr shifts.
We have an exciting opportunity for Health Care Support Workers to join our enthusiastic forward-thinking teams within the Initial Assessment Unit (IAU) at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patients through their journey in the initial assessment unit and undertake a wide range of clinical and non-clinical duties. The postholder must have excellent communication and organisational skills. Previous experience of undertaking venepuncture/cannulation and ECG’s are desired but not essential.
