Job description
Provide hands-on care and practical support to patients attending the radiology service in Wakefield (WF1 4DG). Working under the direction of a registrant, you will take part in planned and acute patient care – from chaperoning and escorting or transferring patients to delivering one-to-one and group enhanced care for those who need it. The role includes demonstrating duties to new starters, ordering supplies under the department lead, taking part in patient and public involvement activities, and maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the clinical environment. You will be expected to undertake mandatory and role-specific training, manage and prioritise your own workload, and cope with frequent exposure to emotional or distressing events with compassion and professionalism.
