Be part of Nuffield Health’s Cheltenham Hospital as a Healthcare Support Worker (Outpatients) on the bank — a flexible, on-site role offering up to £14 per hour depending on experience. This part-time position includes weekend shifts and is ideal for experienced carers who hold NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have worked in an acute hospital or care setting. You’ll provide frontline patient care before and after surgery, carry out administrative and database tasks, support Registered Nurses and consultants, and use strong telephone and organisational skills to meet each patient’s individual needs while getting to know them as people.

Working on the bank suits those juggling family or caring responsibilities who need ad-hoc hours rather than a fixed contract. Nuffield Health, the UK’s largest healthcare charity, offers holiday in line with the Working Time Directive, pension access and discounted gym membership from £25 a month, plus the backing of a caring, wellbeing-focused employer. You’ll be based in a modern hospital with theatres, diagnostic services (MRI, CT, x-ray, mammography, ultrasound), an ambulatory unit and a rapid-access breast clinic, with good road links to the M5 and A417.
