Step into a practical laboratory role as a Higher Healthcare Science Support Worker (MLA) with Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at Arrowe Park Hospital with occasional cover at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. This full‑time, permanent post (salary £24,937–£26,598 per annum) involves rotation through Specimen Reception, Clinical Biochemistry and Haematology: receiving, checking, prioritising and preparing specimens; maintaining and operating automated and semi‑automated analysers; supporting external quality assurance, audits and stock control; and analysing specimens under the supervision of an HCPC‑registered Biomedical Scientist. The role suits reliable, detail‑focused people with good communication, strong time‑management and the ability to work with minimal supervision, who want hands‑on laboratory experience in a busy acute Trust setting.
