Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist Job details Posting date: 04 November 2025 Salary: £55,690.00 to £62,682.00 per year Additional salary information: £55690.00 - £62682.00 a year Hours: Full time Closing date: 19 November 2025 Location: Cambridge, CB21 5EF Company: NHS Jobs Job type: Permanent Job reference: C9310-25-0952 Apply for this job Summary Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details of responsibilities To be skilled and proficient in undertaking diagnostic assessment by applying psychological and cognitive tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with service users, family members and others involved in the service-users care. To base assessment and intervention on the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex psychological, social, cultural and biological data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observational methods and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in theclients care. To be skilled and proficient in the assessment of service users with complex presentations and co-occurring conditions, including occasionally assessing clients on inpatient wards or in their homes. In addition to diagnosis, to be skilled and proficient in assessing risk and mental health conditions and to liaise with other services and/or GP to ensure client safety and appropriate support. To contribute to the screening of referrals to the service and help with prioritisation and responses to clinical queries to the service. To produce diagnostic reports in a timely manner with recommendations for further advice, support, and information. To contribute to the development and delivery of a programme of psychoeducation for individuals recently diagnosed with autism. To liaise and communicate effectively and sensitively with other professionals in the team and CPFT and external agencies e.g., Adult Social Care and third sector organisations supporting autistic people.
