Job description
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a passionate Band 7 Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to join their vibrant Critical Care team at City Hospital. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, innovative, and driven by a desire to improve the quality of life for critical illness survivors and their families. You will manage a varied and challenging clinical caseload in a 17-bed general Critical Care unit, collaborating closely with colleagues from the Major Trauma Centre. Advanced respiratory and rehabilitation skills are essential, alongside valuable experience in neurological rehabilitation. The successful candidate will enjoy working within a strong, multiprofessional team setting, focusing on evidence-based practices and patient-centred care.
This permanent, part-time position offers core working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 16:00, with an expectation to participate in on-call, weekend, and late shifts approximately once or twice a month. As an autonomous practitioner, you will lead and develop the CC physiotherapy service, represent the department in the East Midlands Critical Care Network, and contribute to the education and training of both staff and students. Personal development is encouraged, with abundant opportunities for CPD through NUH's in-house leadership programmes and external options.
