Lead a highly specialist Speech & Language Therapy service across West London NHS Trust’s inpatient mental health wards, combining expert clinical practice with deputy team management. You’ll assess and manage dysphagia and complex speech, language and communication needs for adults and older adults (including ABI, stroke, dementia and trauma), working from Trust HQ (Armstrong Way, UB2 4SD) and covering Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow and Southall. This full-time, permanent Band 7 post (£53,751–£60,651 pa inclusive of 15% HCAS) sits within a multidisciplinary Physical Health AHP team alongside dietitians, physiotherapists and ward staff; you will deputise for the Team Manager, provide clinical leadership, supervise junior staff and students, deliver training, and contribute to service development, audit and research.

You’re an experienced SLT (HCPC and RCSLT registered) with RCSLT Dysphagia Competency Level D/EDSCF Level 6, a recognised degree and relevant post‑graduate training (for example Makaton, AAC, Intensive Interaction) and proven experience in dysphagia management, complex communication and delivering structured interventions and training. The role requires independent travel between sites and is subject to DBS checks.
