Job description
Critical Care at UCLH is seeking a hard-working and capable individual who enjoys working in an exciting and fast-paced multi-disciplinary team environment, to support us in the delivery of a quality service as a Band 3 Housekeeper working across 2 of our 4 units as required.
This is an exciting opportunity to join UCLH. You will work collaboratively with two other Housekeepers to provide full housekeeping services alongside clinical teams on our Intensive Care Units at University College London Hospital. This is a permanent full- time role with working hours of 37.5 hours a week. The successful applicant will have the option to work from either 08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00, 5 days a week. The post holder will work on T06 and GWB, but cross-cover supporting the other two units is expected during periods of absence.
The successful applicant will be entrusted with responsibility and expected to be self-motivating. They will carry out housekeeping duties including ordering and managing stock of consumables, moving, cleaning and storing equipment, and ensuring the environment of the ICUs is clean and safe; identifying, reporting and resolving faults and issues. The ideal candidate will enjoy working on their feet, hands-on work and manual handling. They will be able to respond quickly and flexibly to emergencies and urgent queries, going above and beyond to deliver quality of service in the NHS. There will be opportunities to undertake training and professional development.
