Make a real difference to patients and colleagues as a Housekeeping Assistant at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot (SL5). In this permanent, full‑time Band 2 role with Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust you’ll keep wards, patient rooms and communal areas clean, safe and welcoming — vacuuming, mopping, dusting, changing curtains, disposing of clinical waste and replenishing consumables. You’ll also support simple catering tasks, use cleaning machinery, follow infection‑control routines and report equipment faults while always maintaining patient dignity, confidentiality and courtesy. The post pays £25,768 per annum (including HCAS) and offers a structured hospital environment where the work you do has visible, immediate impact.
This position suits practical, reliable carers who enjoy working in a friendly team and want NHS stability with development opportunities. Full training is provided (COSHH, colour coding and infection control), although healthcare experience is desirable. Please note the rota alternates between 07:00–15:00 and 14:00–22:00, working five days out of seven across Monday to Sunday; recruitment includes a basic Maths and English assessment and a DBS check, and applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
