Make a tangible difference as a Housing Support Worker with Nacro in Solihull, primarily on-site with occasional travel across the West Midlands. This permanent, full‑time role (40 hours per week, including a 5‑hour paid lunch break) pays £26,584 per year (base £25,584 + £1,000 unsocial hours) and operates on rolling shift patterns between 08:00–22:00 Monday–Friday and Saturday 09:00–17:00. You will work on the Ministry of Justice‑commissioned CAS‑2 programme, supporting low/medium‑risk people on bail, home detention curfew or leaving prison: assessing needs, writing safety plans, supporting housing and benefits claims, managing rent and property standards to the Decent Homes benchmark, and working closely with probation, courts and housing authorities. The role offers practical, hands‑on care with real insight into the criminal justice system and the chance to help people rebuild independent, crime‑free lives.

This position will suit emotionally intelligent, organised carers — particularly women with caring experience who value flexible, meaningful work. Essential requirements are a full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle with business insurance (mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile), willingness to travel, and the ability to obtain an enhanced DBS and prison clearance; applicants must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship). Nacro provides 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, occupational sick pay above statutory levels, flexible working between property visits and support for staff with lived experience of the criminal justice system (a conviction will not automatically bar you). Interviews are ongoing for multiple roles (job ref CAS3444) — closing date 23 November 2025. To apply, click the “Apply Now” button; this vacancy is also listed on jobsincare.com.
