As an ICT End User Support Technician with Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (Derby, DE22), you will be one of two proactive technicians providing hands‑on desktop and portable IT support across main and remote sites. On a 12‑month fixed‑term, full‑time contract you’ll diagnose and resolve user faults, install, configure and maintain devices using current operating systems, deployment tools and patch management systems, and support devices and applications linked to the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme. The role also includes packaging and deploying application clients, testing updates, maintaining accurate service records, liaising with suppliers, performing routine infrastructure duties (backups, tape changes and monitoring) and contributing to ICT projects. Travel to remote sites is required, a full UK driving licence is essential and the post is subject to a DBS check.

This opportunity suits experienced business IT support professionals who hold GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent) plus an IT‑related qualification, and who are comfortable with Windows 10–11, Office 365, NHS Mail and basic networking. Desirable skills include EPR project experience, VDI knowledge and application packaging.
