As an Independent Prescriber - Substance Misuse (Ref: 0021ZA) based in Rotherham S60 2EN, you will work 37.5 hours per week in a permanent, full‑time clinical role supporting people with substance misuse needs. This post suits a first‑level Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) or a Registered Pharmacist who holds the independent/supplementary prescriber qualification and the appropriate NMC or GPhC entry, and who can demonstrate OST prescribing experience and continuing professional development. You will work alongside Operational and Clinical Leadership and Recovery Workers to ensure safe, evidence‑based prescribing and joined‑up care: duties include harm‑reduction work, assessment and review in substance‑misuse clinics, advising on detoxification, vaccination and blood‑testing programmes, and proactive community outreach. The salary is £41,818–£52,350 and the role is on site in Rotherham with some late Tuesday evenings; the post is subject to a DBS check.
