We Are Looking For Enthusiastic Nurses To Join HAU Wards For Secondment/ Substantive Opportunities At Band 6 Junior Sister Level For The Following Ward

As a Junior sister you will be responsible for supporting your Line Manager in ensuring that our service users’ needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care.

You will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and well-being. Working in collaboration with the Multi-disciplinary Team to ensure harms prevention and safe discharge

To act as an expert for the care of a specified group of patients, providing effective leadership and acting as a positive role model. Providing senior cover on a shift basis of Long Days and Night duty in meeting the needs of the service. Creating a culture that support and en-powered staff to contribute to safe and effective care. To take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area in the absence of or as delegated by the Ward Leader.

Acting as a role model and resource for junior staff, you will support the Ward Leader, leading the ward when on duty and participate in benchmark and quality audits including Observation of Care. Ensuring that staff receive feedback on the results, and that where necessary action is taken to improve standards. Supporting students and new staff on the ward.

To support the Ward Leader and Modern Matron in processes of continuous Quality improvement, formally evaluating standards of care and assisting in the implementation of changes in the light of such findings
