Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen within the Senior Health directorate. We are looking for a highly motivated medical secretary role, who will be key to delivering an effective service to our patients. This role provides efficient and high quality secretarial and administrative support to consultants and their teams, working in close co-operation with staff and other health professionals. The medical secretary is an active and supportive member of the department's administrative team.
Main duties of the jobThe main duties of the of the role are as follows:
- being responsible for the smooth running of the off site transcription service for the clinical team, within Trust targets.
- attend department meetings, take minutes and distribute agenda and papers as required.
- assist in the compilation of reports, audits, teaching materials, research papers and slides within agreed timeframes as required.
- prioritise incoming correspondence, ensuring that it is promptly dealt with by the appropriate member of staff.
