Flexibility is of the highest importance within the ROC and as we do accommodate flexible working requirements, we are a 7-day working team and require applicants to be able to work weekends and bank holidays on a shared rota basis.
As Care Sector Lead the post holder will work as part of the COO/UEC/ROC Team. There is an expectation that the post holder will have a close working relationship with the Director of Nursing (DN)/Independent Care Sector (ICS) Regional Lead and support the DN/ICS Regional Lead in the development and delivery of a programme of work to support national and local priorities.

The success of the post will be measured through the post holder’s contribution to the reduction in delayed transfers of care, admissions to hospital and improvements in the quality of care delivered within the care sector.

The post holder will need to have an understanding of the work of the care sector and establish networks within both the health and care sectors to support his/her work.

The Care Sector Lead will need to ensure they have current knowledge in respect of the care sector and understand, and on occasion challenge, the perspective of the sector. The post holder will need to demonstrate their ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.

The post holder will demonstrate visible leadership and the ability to work as a member of the Chief Operating Officer Directorate and in support of the DN/ICS Regional Lead. This may include deputising for members of the Performance & Improvement team as required.

The post holder will also support the UEC reporting function where necessary with regards to daily reporting.
