Job summaryWe are looking to recruit a senior radiotherapy engineer to join the radiotherapy physics team at The Royal Free Hospital.
The successful candidate would be expected perform preventative maintenance and quality assurance on a wide range of radiotherapy equipment and to liaise with equipment manufacturers to maintain the availability of the treatment units. For this post the successful candidate would have already completed the Varian training courses.
The successful candidate will also participate in routine q.a. of the treatment and dosimetry equipment and is encouraged to support clinical dosimery measurements where appropriate.
In addition, the post acts as the deputy and primary support to the Radiotherapy QA Manager for Radiotherapy's ISO 90accredited quality management system and maintains the Radiotherapy Quality Assurance system management software "Q-Pulse".
There is approximately a 60:40 split in the above roles with engineering taking precedence.
