Job summaryOpen Mental Health is partnership of nine local voluntary organisations and the NHS in Somerset. By adopting a multidisciplinary, partnership approach we work as one service to limit barriers to accessing services and ensure that people get the support they need, when they need it. We have a shared ambition to support people to achieve a fulfilling life beyond services.Step Down works with clients on their journey from acute services to their own accommodation, coproducing strengths-based, individual recovery plans that provide strategies to; better manage their mental health, identify warning signs, build resilience and nurture positive relationships. From the moment someone moves in, the focus will be on life after move on and building practical living skills to support independence and wellbeing. Step Down is a 9-5 service that operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year to support our clients maintain a meaningful life and continue on their pathway to recovery.Stepladder Mens Mental Health service is a mens mental health and wellbeing project, supporting men to make connections and find support in their local communities. Working across Somerset as part of Open Mental Health, Stepladder focuses on community development project work, acting as a catalyst for other groups, organisations and individuals to reach out to men who may be isolated and finding life tough.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for someone who is passionate about working collaboratively with partners and leading services that support people with mental health challenges achieve fulfilling lives beyond services. Youll have good knowledge of the support needs of people with long-term and enduring mental health challenges and experience in managing teams. Youll be an excellent communicator, be great at building trusting relationships at all levels of the system and be keen to contribute to the development of the wider team and a proven track record of delivering quality services.
